What's New at Hunter?
Glad that you asked...
The coming school year is upon us and we are geared up and ready to go!
Girls are Welcomed at the Hunter School!
Residential and day program for boys and girls aged 5-15 years
For the past ten years, the Hunter school has quietly been addressing the academic, behavioral and emotional needs of young children through our unique and highly effective programs.
Understanding how these children perceive and process information is an integral part of our program.
Our comprehensive behavioral plan gives each student the opportunity to understand their individual structure, boundaries, behaviors and to make their differences work for them in a positive way.
Hunter’s holistic approach includes educating and nurturing the whole child.
We see strengths that may not be readily visible to others and work to help them emerge.
Our philosophy of non-violence includes a nutritious vegetarian diet and a limit of electronic devices on campus.
If you wish to learn more about the Hunter learning experience, schedule an appointment or set up a campus visit, please call Laurie Ferris at (603) 786-9427 ext. 26.
Girls Program Continues to Build and Grow
Increase in inquiries and enrollments for girls at Hunter School...
This past year, inquiries and enrollments of young girls with ADD, ADHD, Asperger’s and/or related conditions have continued to increase. We are one of just a handful of programs in the East that offers a residential program for young girls between ages 5-15. As the Hunter School continues to grow, we are consistently improving, modifying and increasing our program offerings to meet every child’s individual needs.

Winter Activities Kick-Off for Hunter Kids
Skiing, Snow Boarding, Swimming and Pottery Class are highlights…
Winter in the White Mountains is an exciting and exhilarating experience for our kids. This year we will be skiing and snow boarding at Loon Mountain in Lincoln, with lessons and rental equipment available to all students. Those students who are non-skiers/boarders have the opportunity to swim in the mornings and enjoy a creative pottery class in the afternoons at Creation Station in Lincoln.
The importance of physical exercise is an important component of the Hunter Philosophy and is incorporated on a daily basis into our school programming.
